Alecia joined Spectrum Space as a volunteer in 2023 while completing her Honours in Psychology and has since worked as both an Assistant and Facilitator with the Awesome @ Rockingham program. She is passionate about fostering inclusive environments where participants feel safe, supported, and comfortable being themselves.
Alecia holds bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminology and works professionally as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. Her experience spans the NDIS, justice, and out-of-home care sectors, applying neurodevelopmental, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches to support positive outcomes.
Alecia values the genuine connections built through Spectrum Space programs and enjoys helping participants build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and engage with their community.
In January 2024, Anastasiia started her role as an SIS Fremantle program facilitator at Spectrum Space, and she is thoroughly enjoying her new role. Anastasiia is originally from Russia. She spent a few years travelling, but for the last 13 years, she has called Perth home. A passionate youth worker, she delivers her practice through the memo ‘Be who you needed when you were younger‘ and is currently completing her Master of Social Work degree. When not at work, you can find Anastasiia spending time with her family and their two dogs.
Beth has been with Spectrum Space since mid 2020, working as a Program Facilitator with one of our Awesome Programs. Since then Beth has worked as a program facilitator with one of our Step Into Social Programs, and has also worked as a program facilitator and program assistant on our Telethon Holiday Makers Program.
Beth has a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and Law) and a Master of Social Work. When she is not working with our social programs, she works full time as a qualified Social Worker.
Beth loves working with young people and her goal is to contribute towards making our community a better, more inclusive place. Beth is also passionate about literature, cooking and being active in nature.
Donna is blessed to be a mother to 4 beautiful children, whom she homeschool’s while also volunteering at their hybrid school, and active within the homeschool community. Donna holds a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Youth Work, with over 15 years’ of experience working within the Community Services sector. She recently qualified as a Certified GAPS Coach and is enthusiastic about continuous learning and professional development opportunities. She has an interest in understanding and a passion for encouraging people to become the best they can be, supporting them to fulfil their purpose in life. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own individual way.
Elizabeth is currently completing a Master of Social Work and is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based practice. Her professional background includes counselling, mental health, and research management within the not-for-profit sector, bringing both compassion and a broad perspective to her work.
After completing her final placement with Spectrum Space, Elizabeth joined the SIS team in Marangaroo as a Facilitator. She enjoys working alongside participants with warmth, humour, and genuine connection, and values supporting people to build confidence, meaningful relationships, and positive experiences within their community.
Originally from Austria and having recently relocated to Western Australia from the United Kingdom, Elizabeth enjoys travelling and exploring new places with her family.
Fern began as a volunteer at Spectrum Space in 2025 and immediately developed a strong connection with the programs and community within the organisation. Stepping into the facilitator role for SIS Rockingham and YES Secret Harbour has been an incredibly rewarding experience for her. Fern takes a very hand on approach and enjoys actively participating in games and activities alongside participants. Whether she is losing at laser tag or getting outplayed in bowling, she values being fully present and immersed in each program.
Fern holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is passionate about celebrating the unique strengths of each participant, nurturing these strengths, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
In her spare time, Fern enjoys dancing, attending live musical theatre, and playing Nintendo games.
Finn joined Spectrum Space in early 2025 as a volunteer and now works as a Facilitator and Program Assistant across a number of social programs. He also works as a Support Worker, with a focus on supported independent living, bringing a person-centred and strengths-based approach to his work.
Finn studied at The University of Western Australia, where he completed degrees in Criminology and Behavioural Sciences and Psychology. He is passionate about fostering positive, inclusive environments where participants feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to be themselves.
Finn values the sense of community at Spectrum Space and enjoys building meaningful connections with participants and colleagues. He is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside the people he supports every day.
Gretchen has been part of the Spectrum Space community since 2021.
With a background in education and the not-for-profit sector, Gretchen brings a creative and supportive approach to her work. She also works as an after-school tutor during the week.
Gretchen enjoys learning new things and has a passion for cooking and creative pursuits, including drawing, painting, and knitting. She loves supporting participants to explore new experiences, connect with others, and enjoy fun excursions and hands-on activities. A devoted cat lover, Gretchen has never met a cat she didn’t like.
Joanne joined Spectrum Space as a Program Facilitator after completing her work placement. With a Diploma of Community Services and several years of experience supporting young people, she is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to be themselves.
Joanne loves connecting with participants, learning about their interests, and supporting opportunities for friendships, confidence, and new experiences. She particularly enjoys seeing participants step outside their comfort zones, have fun, and discover their strengths.
Joanne enjoys music, drawing, exploring new places, and spending time with her family. She believes that shared interests are a powerful way to connect with others and brings this approach to her work every day.
Kelly is a Facilitator at Spectrum Space and holds a Diploma of Community Services and a Certificate IV in Mental Health.
She brings both professional knowledge and lived experience to her role, as the parent of three neurodivergent children, two of whom are now adults.
Kelly is passionate about supporting people to engage socially as their authentic selves. She loves building connections with participants and creating welcoming, inclusive environments where individuals feel comfortable, valued, and supported to explore their interests and strengths.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys playing Fortnite, watching anime, reading, and practising archery. She values the opportunity to meet amazing people through her role and is grateful to be part of a community that celebrates individuality and belonging.
Madison has been a Facilitator at Spectrum Space since February 2026 and is currently studying Occupational Therapy at Curtin University. She is passionate about supporting individuals to build confidence, independence, meaningful friendships, and everyday life skills.
Madison enjoys creating safe, inclusive, and respectful environments where participants can be themselves, connect with others, and explore new experiences. She loves helping people discover their strengths, celebrate their achievements, and enjoy the meaningful moments that make everyday life special.
Through her work at Spectrum Space, Madison has developed a deep appreciation for the power of community, inclusion, and genuine connection. She feels grateful to be part of a supportive team and values the opportunity to learn and grow alongside participants every day.
Outside of work and study, Madison enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, cooking, and travelling.
Raymond’s journey with Spectrum Space began in 2018 during a work placement, and he officially joined the team in 2021. Holding a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Raymond is passionate about creating supportive and inclusive environments where young people can build confidence, develop connections, and be themselves.
As the Facilitator of the YES Midland and Step Into Social (SIS) Midland programs, Raymond loves seeing participants find their community, thrive together, and build lasting friendships.
In his free time, Raymond enjoys playing guitar, building Gundam model kits, reading, and travelling.
Sami facilitates the YES program in Rockingham and a SIS program in South Fremantle as well as one of the Telethon Holiday Makers Program. She is also the Cultural Activities Coordinator, helps in the office and is one of the staff assisting the Autism Connect Helpline.
Sami is a wife and mum of 3 kids aged 7, 8 and 15. The family have a dog (Jersey), a cat (Djuripin which is Noongar for Joyful) and 2 pythons (Crash and Bernie).
Sami is a proud Noongar woman from the Balladong and Willmen language groups. Sami and her husband have some land in Balladong, just next door to York for their kids to develop their cultural connection to Country. They also love to get out on their dirt bikes and then sit around the fire and cook dinner.
Sami brings a wide range of experience from working at Perth Zoo for 9 years as well as personal connections to our community.
Sophia began her journey with Spectrum Space as a volunteer and now works as a Facilitator. She enjoys supporting participants to build connections, have fun, and feel comfortable being their authentic selves.
Sophia holds an Honours degree in Psychology from The University of Western Australia and is passionate about creating welcoming and inclusive environments where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to participate in their own way.
