Meet Scott Sadler

This week in our ‘About Autism West’ series, we’re introducing you to Scott Sadler, our IT-savvy Administrative Assistant and long-term community volunteer.

Scott has been with Autism West for 3+ years, starting with us in July 2013. Scott maintain the Autism West website, social media accounts, produces our newsletters, manages our event and membership registrations, as well as the library and any IT related matters perform administration duties.

On a personal note, Scott grew up with autism, has studied his Certificate 3 and 4 in IT, and previously worked almost 10 years in a library. He is currently on the board (as Webmaster) of WAADF (WA Autism Diagnosticians’ Forum), and enjoys snooker, reading, movies and supports the West Coast Eagles.

I love my job at Autism West because it utilises my skills and passions. Autism West is a friendly and supportive environment were my co-workers understand my disability and I’m not pressured to give more than I am capable of. My personal highlight of 2016 was being featured in several news articles as part of my work with Autism West.

For those of you who attended out Symposium in 2015, you may have had the opportunity to see Scott share his story (and bring some in the audience to tears!).
