Spectrum Space Symposium 2023: FAQs

I’m under 18 years of age. Can I participate?

We would love for you to attend in the future! However, the Symposium is for individuals 18 years and older.

I am a support person for an autistic person, can I attend for free?

As a support person or worker you are eligible to apply for a subsidised ticket. Please click here for more information. If your application is successful you will be required to pay $50 for your ticket.

Do I have to be autistic to attend?

No, you do not need to be autistic to attend.

Are you recording the event? Can I attend the event via Zoom?

No, unfortunately, currently we don’t have the funds to support delivery in this way.

Am I able to come and go on the day?

Yes, you are welcome you to come and go as you please. We just ask that you keep your ticket with you and enter the space respectfully while a presentation is taking place.

Is the Symposium a sensory safe space?

We have taken every action available to us to make the space a sensory safe space. If at any time you require a break, we have a quiet room available.

Will sessions/information from the Symposium be able to be downloaded at a later date?

Certain materials will be available after the Symposium but only to ticket holders. Please contact events@spectrumspace.org.au for more information.

Are there regional and metro subsidies available for this event?

Absolutely, if you identify as autistic, or are a carer/family member of an autistic individual, you are eligible for a subsidised ticket. Successful regional applicants will also receive accommodation at the Pan Pacific. Please click here for more information.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable, but you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else, contact events@spectrumspace.org.au with the details of who you are transferring your ticket to.
